Common questions
My data disappeared after clearing my browser.
Book and shelf data is stored in your browser's IndexedDB. Clearing site data or using private/incognito mode will remove it. Use the Export feature in Settings regularly to keep a backup.
ISBN scan isn't finding my book.
Try searching by title instead. Coverage depends on the book databases we query (NeoDB, ISBN.work). Older or region-specific books may not be indexed. You can always add a book manually.
Can I sync my library across devices?
Not currently — My Bookshelf is local-first by design. You can export from one device and import on another as a workaround.
